| The Southern volcano area stretches from Pucon (6 hours south of Santiago) all the way to Puerto Montt. While public transport can get you to or near to many of the volcanos (if they have a ski hill on them), if you can afford it a car really helps you explore and get to the places that are not normally skied. |
