| Chamonix cabins |

There are many cabins (refuges) in the area around Chamonix. Some are private and expensive and some are public and free. For a list you can ask at the tourist office in Chamonix or get the fantastic guide book – Mont Blanc et Aiguilles Rouges à Ski by Anselme Baud which has a list of 29 public refuges in the Mont Blanc area and their details. Also, the book Refuges des Alpes de l'Oisans à la Méditerranée (Belle reliure)
by Agnès Couzy and Claude de Merville lists a few of the best cabins in the area. |
