| Chamonix really needs no introduction. Go there and ski the 9000 ft of vert for yourself is all we can really advise. There are a couple of very good guide books for Chamonix in French, and of course many good guides. The Alps is one place where no matter how good a skier you are a guide is a good thing to have. If you can afford it and you don’t have a lot of time it is well worth it. Chamonix has endless places to stay, to eat and to drink. The centre of all things mountain, it really is a must do. |
